There is a phrase in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that we sometimes move past too quickly. Before God talks about humbling ourselves, praying, seeking His face, or turning from our wicked ways, He starts with this:
“If my people, who are called by my name…”
Before revival is about what we do, it begins with who we are.
We are not just people who believe in God.
We are not just churchgoers.
We are not just trying to live moral lives.
We are God’s people — called by His name.
And Scripture goes even further. Peter writes that we are:
“a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession…”
(1 Peter 2:9, NIV)
Think about that for a moment:
You are chosen.
You are part of a royal priesthood.
You belong to God.
That is your identity.
That is your calling.
That is your authority.
And revival happens when God’s people begin living in alignment with who they really are.
Revival begins when we recognize that our lives are not our own — they belong to the King.
It begins when we live with the dignity, holiness, and purpose of priests who represent God to the world.
It begins when we carry His name with honor, reverence, and courage.
Revival is not simply an emotional moment or a passionate worship service.
Revival is God’s people rediscovering who they are — and living lives worthy of the name they carry.
Imagine what happens when believers embrace their identity as God’s chosen people.
Imagine churches full of royal priests, standing in their calling.
Imagine a nation where God’s people live boldly and faithfully under His name.
That’s revival.
And that’s why Revival250 exists.
