When God begins to move, we have a sacred responsibility: to keep the fire burning.
In ancient Israel, the priests were commanded to never let the flame on the altar die out. That same fire—symbolic of God’s presence—was to burn continually as a sign of His covenant with His people.
Today, God is still looking for those who will tend the fire. People who will humble themselves, pray, seek His face, and turn from sin until the flame of revival burns brightly once again.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NIV) says it clearly:
“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”
The flame of revival must not be allowed to fade. Not in our hearts. Not in our churches. Not in our nation.
Let’s keep the altar fire burning—through prayer, repentance, and passion for God’s glory.
