Rush Limbaugh, An American Original

Rush Limbaugh, American Icon & Champion Of Freedom, Dead at 70

Published

on

I remember the first time I listened to Rush Limbaugh. It was the summer of 1992. George Bush the Elder was on his way to losing the Presidency to Bill Clinton, and there was this man, on AM talk radio, eviscerating the left and the enemies of freedom, with aplomb and good cheer. He gave me hope. He made me believe that the cause of freedom would endure, and that the American Dream would make a big comeback.

And boy, was he ever right.

Why? Because inside every human breast beats the living heart of freedom. Inside all of us, is a soul that years to breathe free, and realize its awesome and majestic potential.

And Rush got this in a way no other public figure had since Ronald Reagan.

Rush used to say that when people on the left demanded that he give equal time to opposing viewpoints, that he WAS equal time. And he was right.

In 1994, Rush rallied the nation behind Newt Gingrich and his daring bid to win back the House for the Republican Party for the first time in 40 years. The Republican Party won the House and the Senate, and America was under conservative governance for the first time since the early 80s when President Reagan and the Republican Senate worked with the southern Boll Weevil Democrats in the House to pass his tax cutting and military build-up agenda.

Rush Limbaugh made that possible. When Bush the Younger was elected, and the Democrat Hate Machine (DHM) revved up into high gear, Rush Limbaugh mocked their supercilious leaders into inchoate rage, and this, in no small measure, was a big part of  what allowed Bush to govern as a conservative for the first 5 years of his Presidency.

And it was Rush Limbaugh, giving his stamp of approval to the insurgent candidacy of Donald Trump, that made it possible for Trump to vanquish the deep field of 16 Republican office holders and seize the nomination, and finally the Presidency in 2015 and 2016.

Trump was the first candidate since Reagan to truly excite the American people, and make them believe that America was an exceptional place, and worth fighting for.

Rush was the undisputed King of Talk Radio. He had 30 million people a week listen to his show. And his influence on his audience was enormous and unparalleled. Day after day, and week after week, he showed them that America was still a great country, the greatest in the whole wide world. He made them believe in themselves and their destiny once again.

And Rush was a winner. He won at the game of business. He won at the game of Talk Radio. He won at the game of living a great life. He was the American Dream personified.

And he is irreplaceable.

God bless Rush Limbaugh.

God bless his family.

Go bless all the people he inspired to create the counterculture that is conservative media.

And God bless America.

And to those who have showered him with hate: he would wish you well, and he would wish you to understand your own greatness, and that of the nation that more than any other makes it possible for you to realize it.

God bless you, Rush.

Hey Liz Cheney, And Other RINOs, Here’s the Truth!

Liz Cheney and RINOs are out of their minds to believe that Trump hurt the party!

Published

RINOs like Liz Cheney and others constantly make the argument that Donald Trump has broken the Republican Party and driven people out of the party. But that is so far from the truth it’s incomprehensible that they even say it. PolitiCrossing founder, Chris Widener, one of the world’s top motivational speakers, makes the case against them in his brand new video. Check it out below and then let us know what you think!

How Every Conservative Can Be a Better Writer – and Why they Should!

Your voice MUST be heard. It is all hands on deck time. One of the ways to do that is to write.

Published

on

We live in the most communicative age in the history of the world. Never before in human history has a single individual had a level playing field that allows them to reach as many people as a major newspaper. In fact, when I owned Positively Republican on Facebook, I was living in Seattle. I had a million people on my facebook page and every time I posted I was reaching hundreds of thousands of people. I ended up once at a party with the CFO of the Seattle Times. Their daily reach was 250,000 people. Mine was millions. I asked him how it felt t know that a guy on the Eastside was reaching four times as many people as the Times was, and I was doing it from my home office! He didn’t like that much!

Conservatives need to take advantage of that. Your voice MUST be heard. It is all hands on deck time. One of the ways to do that is to write. It may be a social media post, an article or a book. I have written hundreds of articles and twenty books that have been translated into 14 languages and have sold millions of copies. I have it down pretty well. I would like to share three key points that will make you a better writer, even if just for your Facebook posts where you are trying to influence your friend group. If every person got better and we all influenced ten people, it would change our country for the better!

Here are some quick thoughts:

1. Start with a goal. What do you want to accomplish with your writing? What do you hope to happen when they are done reading? Is it to confront, to educate, or to comfort and encourage? For example, I have two goals with this article. One, to give you some tips for being a more effective communicator so you can have more influence. Two, at the end of the article, after giving value, I am going to ask you if you have ever written or if you think you have what it takes to write for us, PolitiCrossing.

2. Pick three to four main points. Notice how many points I have in this article? Four. Why? People don’t spend a lot of time reading anymore. If I can make it compelling in three or four points, I can get them to read it and to take the actions I want them to take.

3. Make it concise and clear. Get to the point. Don’t go on and on. And make it clear so they don’t ask, “What is he talking about?”

4. Write it, then rewrite it, then edit. I look at all my posts a few times. What words can I change to be more clear? What words can I take out to make it more concise? Make it tight and powerful. Then look for misspellings, grammar, etc.

Now, I told you I was going to do it, so here we go: Think you have what it takes to write for us? Want a platform to reach thousands of people every time you write? PolitiCrossing can help you do it! If you are interested, contact us at [email protected]

Let’s ALL become better. Communication moves people and influences them. The better we conservatives can do this, the better our country becomes!
