AZ Secretary of State Katie Hobbs is Out of Control on Ballot Audit

Published

on

Some areas of the country haven’t given up on investigating voter fraud during the presidential election, including Arizona and Georgia. But it’s not easy, because the left is going all out to stop them. Here in Arizona, the main opposition is coming from the Arizona Secretary of State, far left Katie Hobbs. This woman is frightening. She once referred to Donald Trump supporters as neo-Nazis. She is trying to make a name for herself since she wants to run for governor in 2022.

The Arizona Senate ordered an audit of Maricopa County ballots earlier this year, taking possession of 2.1 million ballots and nearly 400 election machines and turning them over to be audited by cyber firms. It just doesn’t seem very plausible that Joe Biden won in Maricopa County, considering it’s a Republican stronghold (the words of CBS) with more registered Republicans than Democrats, and considering how well Republicans performed in other races here. As of February, there were just over 909,658 registered Republicans to 814,101 Democrats, a striking difference.

In the Maricopa County Treasurer’s race, which featured two non-incumbents, the Republican handily beat the Democrat 46.65% to 42.46%. The Maricopa County Recorder, an incumbent Democrat who oversees Maricopa County Elections, lost to a Republican. In contrast, Biden supposedly beat Trump in the county by about two points.

The Maricopa County Supervisors, who many people locally believe are extremely corrupt and composed of RINOs, have fought the audit tooth and nail. They refused to comply with legislative subpoenas, forcing the issue into court. Senate President Karen Fann told them there was a lack of chain of custody for ballots, cut security seals and more ballot anomalies. The number of ballots listed on pink sheets in the boxes didn’t always match the number of ballots, and it was mostly a higher number (one example provided was off by 35 ballots). Fann also said the county had deleted databases, which Donald Trump repeated. Fortunately, CyFIR, one of the teams handling the audit, was able to recover the deleted files.

Hobbs isn’t defending the law but is stonewalling just like the supervisors. She received $6 million in CARES money from Governor Doug Ducey to spend on election issues so has a lot of leeway to wreak havoc. She creates all kinds of issues, threatening lawsuits and constantly claiming there is something wrong with every bit of the audit process. She has attempted to get Biden’s DOJ involved. Ken Bennett, a former Republican secretary of state himself with excellent credibility in the state, is overseeing the process. He has dismissed her rants as baseless.

Hobbs apparently knows no bounds, she reportedly dishonestly tried to sneak in a paid elections expert to the audit by pretending to be a reporter.

Hobbs is going all out to destroy Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich because of his proactive efforts stopping election fraud, such as his lawsuit suing the Democratic National Committee over ballot harvesting, currently at the U.S. Supreme Court. Her vengeance against him started before the election, when she became furious that Brnovich wouldn’t prosecute Trump. Earlier this year, Brnovich told the Maricopa County Supervisors to increase the number of ballots counted by hand from 2% to 5%, but they refused. Then Brnovich declared that the legislative branch has the authority to conduct the audit. Hobbs demanded that Brnovich shut down the audit due to her rants, but he didn’t. He said to her in a letter, “Any such complaints … must be based on credible facts and not conjecture of politics” and pointed to the separation of powers granting the legislature this authority.

As a result, Hobbs has now filed over 12 bar complaints against Brnovich and his staff attorneys. Since there are rumors that Brnovich is running for governor too, she wants the conservative champion out of the way. But what about the attorneys helping Hobbs out drafting the groundless bar complaints, why isn’t anyone filing bar complaints against them? They are some of the most notorious left-wing activists in the state.

It’s gotten so bad the legislature is now stripping Hobbs of her ability to defend election lawsuits and transferring those powers to the Arizona Attorney General. Another provision will remove her authority over the museum at the state capitol and turn it over to the legislature. The House and Senate Appropriations Committees passed bills doing this that will be part of a full budget proposal expected to be signed into law.

A lot of Arizonans believe there was voter fraud. High Ground, a public affairs firm in the state that is not conservative, found that 42% of Arizonans in March thought there was “significant fraud” in the election, as did 78% of Republicans.

The audit is being funded here and there are nine live cameras here. It is expected to finish by the end of June. While it’s too late to change the election results, it’s important to ensure that this never happens again, or there will never be a Republican president again. The investigation must continue. The fact the MSM is not reporting that boxes of ballots have pink slips listing counts of ballots in boxes that are off by 35 and other amounts is an incredible whitewash that can’t be dismissed as a “conspiracy theory” as Hobbs likes to say.

Hobbs is using classic tactics that far left Saul Alinsky laid out in his Rules for Radicals. She’s furious the left-leaning judiciary is not bending to her demands as she expected, so now she’s turning to the left-wing Arizona State Bar. Arizona as well as the ballot audit going on in Georgia are currently ground zero for stopping election fraud. Keep the focus on this fraud until she is stopped.

What Does the Term African American Mean?

The Left vehemently champions racial division

Published

on

I’ve never understood why Black Americans for several decades running were referred to as African Americans. Even if their ancestors were from Africa, the majority of the nation’s 44 million Black Americans has never been to Africa, have no viable connection to the continent itself, and have little or no concern about it.

Please Explain it to Me

Now here’s the really confusing part. Black Canadians, to my knowledge, generally have never been called African Canadians. Black people in Mexico have not been called African Mexicans. There’s little use of this type of terminology in Europe such as African French, African Italians, African Spanish, or African Portuguese.

Why, only in America, did the description of Black Americans, namely African Americans ever take hold? Overarching names for the various races have fallen out of favor in recent years. White Americans generally are not referred to as Caucasians. Black Americans are not referred to as Negroes.

Endless Morphs

You have to wonder how and why terminology, for various segments of our population, keeps morphing into something new. At one time white Americans referred to black people as colored people. If I were a member of the black community and was referred to by white people as a colored person, I would be upset. We all have a color!

Later, the most appropriate way to address someone of color was to say they were a person of color. However, that is also a misnomer as once again, we are all of some color.

Scientists, anthropologists, social researchers, and others have pointed out that theoretically there are no races. If you lined up every single person on Earth from the lightest skin to the darkest skin the gradation from person to person would be so slight as to be virtually undetectable.

I like the approach that actor Morgan Freeman has taken, and I wish that more people would adopt it. He has eloquently stated, on many occasions, that one way to stop being obsessed with race is to stop talking about it.

Obsessed with Race

A large faction within the U.S. – Democrats — are populated by subgroups with overlapping views: liberals, progressives, socialists, and Marxists. They want to keep race at the forefront of all public discourse. In their eyes, virtually any topic that you can address – the total eclipse in April, for example – has some underlying racial component embedded within it. Not all topics have a racial component, but that is what they propagate on a daily basis.

What’s more, people on the Left are on the ever-present lookout for anything which they regard as a transgression when others are referring to minorities. They particularly are focused on anything that a Conservative says, at any time, even if it was 30 or 40 years ago, that to the Left some way represents a slight or lack of respect for minorities, particularly Black Americans.

For these ‘race police’ it’s like a game. They are delighted when they are able to find something, anything, that they can aggrandize to the hilt, have the mainstream media pick up, and whip into a social and cultural frenzy.

This bit of historical news might be hard to recall, but four years before Barack Obama was elected U.S. president, the topic of race was less contentious. A Gallup Poll revealed that 74% White Americans and 68% of Black Americans felt that race relations in the country were good. 19 years later, 43% of White people and 33% of Black people reported the same.

If we could only return to those pre-Obama days when Americans, of all types, had some common goals and shared the same types of aspirations such as succeeding in their professions, building a strong financial base for their family, and raising happy and healthy children.

Divided Forever?

Alas, with so many on the Left vehemently championing racial division it looks as if we don’t have good prospects, at least for the immediate future, to return to those hallowed, pre-Obama days. As an eternal optimist, however, I believe that one day the clamor will die down, and once again, we will simply all be Americans.
