What would revival actually look like?
We often imagine full altars, powerful worship, and stirring messages. And yes, revival can include all of that. But Scripture gives us an even clearer measure.
Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” (John 13:35, NIV)
Love is not a side effect of Christianity.
It is the mark of it.
If revival truly takes root in our hearts, love will be the evidence.
Not sentimental love.
Not cultural love.
But the sacrificial, patient, truth-filled love of Jesus.
Imagine what our homes would look like if revival produced deeper love.
Husbands leading with humility.
Wives responding with grace.
Parents discipling with patience.
Children honoring with joy.
Imagine what our churches would look like.
Less division.
Less preference-driven conflict.
More unity.
More forgiveness.
More serving.
Imagine what our communities would look like.
Believers known not for outrage—but for compassion.
Not for winning arguments—but for winning hearts.
Not for blending in—but for standing out through radical kindness and courageous truth.
The world is starving for authentic love. Programs won’t produce it. Politics won’t sustain it. Only hearts transformed by Christ can display it.
Revival is not just louder worship.
It is deeper love.
When we return to Jesus fully, His love begins to flow through us naturally. We forgive more quickly. We speak more graciously. We serve more freely. We become living demonstrations of the Gospel.
If America experienced true revival, the watching world wouldn’t just see bigger gatherings. They would see believers who look more like Christ.
That is the kind of revival we are praying for.
Let it begin in us.
